During one of my Courses at Uni, I re-created the first level of Doom 64 in order to learn the tools of Unreal Engine.

My name is Kris

I was born in 1998 Poland, raised in Belgium, living in the Netherlands. I recently graduated Game Design at Hanze University of Groningen. Ever since I've gotten my hands on the first computer in our family, when I was 4 or 5, I was stuck to it forever. Over the course of my life I have played a lot of games, and from that passion I learned to value the hard work and dedication that goes into the art of the craft.

Game Development

Throughout my academic years I have learned how to effectively use Figma Adobe XD and Photoshop to conceptualise game ideas, later developed using either Unity with C# or Unreal with Blueprints.

Level Design

During an internship at Lucky Kat I spent a lot of time learning and improving my level design skills. One of was used in the final project.

Play-testing

I’ve learned that testing ideas early is vital in game development. Trying things out and seeing how they work in real life saves time and effort in the long run. I like building prototypes, testing them, and using the feedback to make better decisions. It’s satisfying to watch an idea grow into something that really clicks with players!

Brand, Marketing & Monetization

During my minor, I focused on branding, exploring how design, psychology, and marketing shape a company's image. I learned how memorable brands are created, how they can resonate with the users emotionally and drive success through clever design and smart monetization strategies.
